I really like this picture and find it very calming. I especially like the sky and how the sun is reflected in the lower portion of the building on the right. Knowing myself I probably would have focused in closer on the gondolier and lost that part of the picture. Thank you for posting. |

This is one of my wife's favorite flowers and I have tried photographing it with both a cell phone and with DSLR but have not come anywhere close to as good a job as you have done. I'm curious if you photographed the blossom on the plant or if you had cut it off. An unusual picture and some good creative/artistic work on your part.

Like Mervyn it took me a long time to figure out how you did this even with reading your original explanation. It sure is a good way to grab someone's attention and keep them engaged. I think it would be fun to have this on the wall and watch others look at it for the first time. |

Like you this is a picture that I keep coming back to look at. The increased saturation, and hue and curves adjustment have really made a difference for me. The original I found to be too depressing. I probably would have overlooked it as a possibility for further work bur I'm glad you didn't. I find the leaf on the chrome of the tail light a little distracting. I like the tail light on the left rather than the right. |

My first reaction of opening the picture was one of feeling overwhelmed. The picture was just too busy for me. I liked the detail in the original post processed picture but all the lights were distracting. I like Stephen's idea of cropping as it eliminated a lot of the business and put the lights into a position of minor detail. |
