The contrast in black and white is a nice parallel to the contrast between the old and the new. Good sharpness. This is a little picky but everything else is so clean that I would try to get rid of the little leaf on the bottom right and the white spots along the lower right side as well as the object crossing the stair on the bottom left. |

I agree about cropping out the window on the right. As for the left side my thought was to crop it to just take out the column but the more I considered it the more I felt that it brought some closure to the picture. I am not a fan of the ghosting of the people but you have done it very well including the woman in red. I might push her up a little closer to the stairs. |

An interesting window picture. I find myself torn between looking the roof and the bottle with my eyes going back and forth and not really focusing on one. I don't mind the cracks in the window although the one in the middle panel tends to draw my attention to the roof. I love the glass bottle and have not seen one like it before. |

The woman in the picture and the color of her dress is placed so nicely that it draws you right into the picture and yet does not distract from the architectural features so prominent in the picture. I love the vertical straightness of the columns and the soring feeling they give. There is a part of me that wishes the doorway was not there. |

Great black and white picture. I like the contrast between the sharpness of the trees and the fog in the back ground dampening the trees across the lake. Can't think of anything I would change. |

I agree with Dave that the top part of the original is interesting and I think I would have cropped so there was less bottom and included the top. I like the window effect. Looking forward to more pictures from the trip and hope you are feeling better. |

Yes, I was somewhat concerned by the the two branches of the bush that stick up beyond the others but there did not seem to be much that I could do about it. I will try both of your suggestions.
