66 Apr 20 Comment Hi Emil, had to do a double take when I first saw this image. That tree is not like the others! In this case the artwork sits in the middle of other trees and provides a stark reminder of what it feels to be barren of leaves. Very good treatment of the metallic finish of the tree, IR behaves differently with metals and sometimes surprises in great ways.Great contrast with the gloomy sky. Cheers! Apr 8th
66 Apr 20 Comment Hi Palli, the narrow walkway and the low walls on either side guide me through the image all the way to the end. Great use of leading lines! The blue tint really helps with the overall mood of the image. My only feedback is to take some of the sky out to keep the focus on the walkway and foliage and hills on the background. Cheers! 66 Apr 20 Comment Hi Gary, when I first saw the image I started thinking of the story, so many stories went through my head! The bench and the people are perfectly positioned to lead your eyes towards the two trails coming together and guide you through the rest of the image. The one thing that maybe could be done is clone the two twigs on the bottom left of the image but I think I am nit picking. Good luck in exhibiting the image. I completely agree with you, IR images either score right away or sink like lead balloons. This one I think will soar. Cheers! Apr 8th
66 Apr 20 Comment Hi Charles, like how you composed the processed image and made it a portrait. Like the slow moving water effect but the foliage in the middle of the image is giving me pause. Agree with others that the original looks better in this area. Cheers! Apr 8th
66 Apr 20 Comment Hi Jack, really like the tones on this image. My eyes followed the path all the way down to the end of the image and I missed the side door completely. However the atmosphere created around the path with the canopy and the shop is fantastic. Apr 8th
66 Apr 20 Comment Hi Melanie, this is my first time seeing an elephant in IR and it is motivating me to go try it out. In my case it will be the zoo :). Your second image works better for me. Apr 8th
66 Apr 20 Reply Hi Melanie, thank you for the feedback will work on documenting a little bit more but for this image I did not do much out of the ordinary. The sky had wonderful clouds that one day! Got lucky. Cheers! Apr 8th
66 Apr 20 Reply Hi Charles, thank you for your input. Getting back home proved to be a bit of a challenge but we did it. I love going out to the SouthWest! Apr 8th
66 Apr 20 Reply Hi Jack, went back to the image and straightened the horizon and took off some of the horizon. I think it looks better, thank you! Apr 8th
66 Apr 20 Reply Thank you Palli! Apr 8th
66 Apr 20 Reply Gary, your feedback is spot on. I went back to my original image and I see where I went wrong: I squared the image to the shack and not the horizon. You can see on the original the image looks level, the shack is leaning. Apr 8th
