Hi Emil, I guess it is good to get various points of view on an image. I happen to like the processing Gary did to the image, it adds an extra umph to the overall feel of the image. The composition is very strong and pleasing. The tree to the right of the image provides a strong anchor point and entry point into the image, wonder if the image would be improved by flipping it. In other words, flipping the image so the tree would be on the left of the image. Hope this helps, cheers! |

Hi Palli, this image yells story to me, the three children playing in the sand and not one of them paying attention or seeing what their guard is looking at. Like Melanie's feedback of the dog and the right most child being the bookends on the image. As far as cropping, I am ambivalent since I feel the image is all about the three children and their guard dog, the remainder of the image just helps in giving a sense of place and time. Thank you for sharing this story with us, cheers! |

Hi Gary, this image captured my attention instantly, it definitely has that WOW factor. The addition of the green to the eyes really draws you in. My only feedback is that I would have rather seen it in B&W rather than the pink IR undertones. Thanks for sharing your images from Cuba. Cheers! |

Hi Jack, love the simplicity of the image and the various design/composition elements you brought in. The two trees give a solid structure for the rule of thirds providing a solid vertical structure and the providing us three/odd numbered structures. My only feedback is the item (cant make out what it is) on the right hand side of the image should be removed and the leaves/branches at the very top of the image should be cloned out to provide some space to the edge. Hope this feedback helps. Thank you for sharing an image from the Palouse, need to go back someday. Cheers! |

Hi Melanie, great composition. Really like how the street lines draw you in to the image and lead you from the foreground all the way to the end of the street. Very good idea in removing the drain since it was interrupting the flow of the image. One suggestion is to have also remove what seems to be a sign on the wall at the very end of the street. On the right hand side of the image, it looks like some copying was attempted, suggest for the border to have been brought in instead. Thanks for sharing a great image! |
