Thank you all for the kind words and excellent feedback. Thank you Gary for the suggestions and example. I am torn with removing the barley in the foreground, but after playing with the image I can see that leaving it out strengthens the overall image and actually anchors it better. Thank you for pushing me outside the comfort zone :). |

Hi Palli, really enjoyed the image and placing the emphasis on the twisted trunk. Excellent job i handling the distractions, really cleaned the image and placed the focus squarely on the twisted trunk. Gary's adjustments added to the image and made the central focus visually appealing. Cheers! |

Hi Gary, very much enjoyed this image. The composition is excellent and the IR treatment enhanced the feel of the dilapidated barn and overgrown trees and weeds. Was looking at the detail of the wood on the barn and I could almost feel it. The most striking piece for me was the sky and clouds, wow! Echoing what the others have said, thank you for sharing. |

Hi Melanie, another adventurous photographer using HDR techniques on IR! Woo hoo! The composition is very appealing providing layers of details from the groves at the bottom, leading you up to the buildings and then ending with the trees on the near hills on the far background. The buildings and structures came across with great detail and contrast; I think the challenge was in the spots of sunlight hitting part of the scene. The HDR treatment most likely helped, I would suggest using Nik Silver Effects or Viveza and tone down the brightness in the various sunlit areas. Just a thought. Hope this helps. |

Hi Jack, really enjoyed this image, having the path invite me in and lead me through the image from front to back. Find the shape of the canopy and tree trunks visually appealing. The path turning to the left at the end really adds to the mystery and appeal of the image. Not much I can suggest to the image, I find the treatment and post processing spot on. |

Hi Antje, good composition, like the symmetry of the composition using the walls to the sides as frames for the window. I note most of the feedback centers around the treatment of the foliage. My personal choice is to treat IR with a monochromatic approach and not favor a false coloring of the image. Having said that, I enjoyed your version treating the foliage pink. |
