Thanks to all for the warm welcome, hopefully I can continue sharing worthwhile images and feedback. I tend to not include foliage in my IR work, not sure why. I really like how water, sky, and mountains interact in IR images. Looking forward to bringing back some interesting images from the trip I am about to begin. Cheers! |

Palli, like what you have done with this image. I find sand difficult to work with since I tend to lose the feel of the texture in the post processing, but you have done wonderfully here. I tend to like images with a story and in your image the stories flow from each detail. I had not noticed the missing finger, actually I was looking at the details of the cityscape to the left of the image. Like the toning too, it keeps with the subject. Thanks for sharing! |

Gary, looks like I got a little late to the party, the reworked image looks great and my eyes are lead all the way to the bike, back to the fence and all the way down the street. My first impression of the original image is that my attention went to the bright area to the left of the bike and I kept on looking for details and references. The reworked image addresses that and then some. Cheers! |

Hi Melanie! Luminar has been hit or miss for me and I have not tried on an IR image, a future project! Love this image. The water and the skyget lost to me, recommend darkening both in order to bring the focus back to the trees and the lichen/Spanish moss. I agree with Jack, the right most tree is taking away from the leading tree but not sure how to remove and still keep the focus on the leading tree. Love the mood and reflections on the water. |

Hi Jack, like the choice of subject and toning. The foliage adds to the softness and overall feel of the image. I would recommend two things to strength the composition and maybe contrast to the image: a square crop and darkening of the foliage to the outside of the trunks. The square crop would add dynamic to the V shape of the trunks and darkening of the foliage to the outside of the trunks would center the focus of the image to the V section to the center of the trunks. Hope this is constructive. Cheers! |
