Thanks all for the comments. I have three versions of the tower: as is, taller, and removed. I agree with Trinda that is offers a counterpoint to the shack.I will try darkening the bottom a little and bringing out some detail in the the foliage. |

Well done. For the most part I agree with comments of others. If you use LR, I might add a little dehaze and contrast to the sky. |

The colors are beautiful. However, the my eyes need to adjust everytime I move from right to left or vice versa. Since I think the greatees interest in this image is in the pilings and the fence, I'd crop even more--see attached file. |

Well done. I think Trinda is correct about cropping on the right, perhaps 10-15 percent. The curve of the road will become visually more powerful. |

As someone who does a lot of night photography, I love this photo and appreciate some of the technical difficulties. From a compositional perspective, you could crop from the left (the outer tree is not necessary and from the top. This would move the lighthouse a little more off center and then create three points of interest: the flagpole the lighthouse and one tree. |

Sorry for my late comments Nancie. For Maria's version has much more appeal for a variety of reasons including the fact that the sky has few clouds making less interesting in a landscape. I don't mind the tree as a silhoueete, but can any detail in it be brought out? I also agree with others that a little more foreground grass would be helpful. |
