I love your choices in this image: the use of selectively colorizing the train adding softness to the landscape, and the very light blue (cold) monochrome. What do you mean by a "black and white" layer and selective color channel adjustments? |

Nice shot! If this was taken with a 14 mm lens it looks like the image has been cropped? If so, that may be why the noise is apparent. In general, at 14 mm, you should be able to shoot for about 20 seconds without star movement as Nancie points out. However, an alternate way to get pinpoint stars without noise is to shoot multiple images at high ISO and stack them in a product such as Starry Landscape Stacker. |
