I finally got a chance to play with it. I liked the effect of the hard light blend mode and made the hue a little pinker. Also increased the blacks a little. Thanks for your help. |

Nellie, this is fantastic! I love the vintage feel and how the 2 images tie together so nicely. The tree you added is a beautiful addition. The vignette is nice, too. |

Peter, I really like what you have done to the original image, including the increased saturation of the colors and lightening of the shadows. I would consider cropping a little from the bottom to keep the focus on the boat and its reflection and thereby removing some of the busy reflections. |

Shirley, what a bright and cheerful transformation from the original box of squash. It appears well composed and I like the color, including the touches of blue at the bottom and the blue around the edge, to me it is a nice color contrast.

Cindy, I love the effect you have created! I like both but I think I prefer the single flower image. The gradient really adds to the image and has a nice texture. I would possibly consider cropping some of the left side to keep focus on the flower and/ or possibly darkening a little below the flower as it pulls my eye to that brightest spot. Wonderful colors, my favorite color combination and great title! I will have to look up Denise and try the distort filter.

Nellie, I love this image of Tinker, he looks so festive! The very creative background you made gives him the star treatment, thank you for explaining how you made it.The colors are great and the striking mask is expertly placed on his face. The fur is so soft and lovely, I feel I am wanting to see more of it, but that is not a bad thing. You are lucky to have such a beautiful model! |

Jerry, I really like this image. My first impression was that it was a beautiful painterly and abstract image, but of what? I saw the title and I was amazed that this is "mud"! I like your composition. My eye travels across the image inspecting each puddle and the radiating circles. I think the frame is interesting and does fit with the lovely painterly look you have achieved, like a painting in a museum. But the frame may distract from the image itself so I would consider going without it in a competition. |
