I think the painting technique is effect for the subject. Although, I would like to see more detail in the large rock on the right. |

The technique you used is very effective in enhancing the image. It adds life to the image. I agree with Kathy that the color on the log is bit too saturated for my taste and takes away from the lion. |

Did you try a vertical crop to bring the attention to the kayaker? I don't think you need all the water to right. |

I agree with Kathy, I prefer the original to the painting. The light quality on the tree contrasted with the rocks is very striking and I think the painting loses it a bit. |
