Thanks, Elinor. I appreciate your kinds words. Winter is better in photos than real life.

Welcome to the group, Elinor.
The high key use of white one white is nicely done and I think it works well with this image. The background was cluttered so removing it was a good call. I haven't used Corel Painter, I have a Mac and don't think it is even available for my computer. |

I like the effect and the bright colors. It works well with this flower. There are few marks on the edges that I would remove to clean it up and remove the distraction. I also wonder along with Cyril how it would look with a little bit of the background showing through. |

I know this bridge very well as it is only a few miles from my home. It is such a nice setting that they ruin with signs. Every time I photograph in this park, I spend too much time removing all the distracting signs in Photoshop.
The painterly effect is very minimal and nice. However, the bald sky bothers me a little. Did you think to try a texture on this one? I think it could be nice and often helps with white skies. |

You did a nice job of combining the two photos and the two painting techniques. I am usually not a fan of the thick painting effect, but I think it works quite nicely here. I probably should try it again. The boost in color is also wonderful. |

Thanks, Cyril. I encourage you to try the filter, it is really nice, especially with snow photos. |
