No - ethics in a public place (especially when the owner is a bit of an animal herself) dictate that capturing the best possible image must be done without causing problems for others |

Hi Bob - to explain, the dogs AND the bike as a whole are the image and unfortunately to my eye what you have done is slightly off-centre and lacking compositional balance. Having said that of course I don't mind you fiddling with the image as things that you have said are always good tips for other images. It seems that you and Diana find the 'out-of-frame-glance'a bad thing, whereas others (not PSA members) have been fine with it so whether looking straight at the camera as humans tend to do or looking left, preference is purely subjective. |

HI Diana - the dogs were staring at their owner who was intentionally keeping out of the way while keeping close enough to ensure nobody touched or stole them! It was basically an owner being a show off moment and I was not the only one to photograph them!!!!
As for your other comments - thanks. I appreciate what you said. |

Thanks go to all for your comments. Whether color or mono, I guess this is subjective, I am glad of the thoughts of all. That is NOT to diminish what Gloria said - we all have our preferences. I particularly thank Tom and Beverly as their comments reflect my original thinking. Thanks also to Stephen as I am in the same boat - I am more into math as well and my brother is the sciency one! |
