I love the use of sepia - without it I can imagine the image would have been flat. I agree with the addition of the cat, but that is the maximum addition as more would clutter. It just needed that to get the balance of focal point and Stephen's thought of emptiness. |

Definitely more sharpening is needed, you're right. I am setting myself the target of going through all images from the event (I love carol's suggestion of the composite) |

Thanks - and I do like the extra contrast you've added. Thanks again for the comments and definitely worth following up - I have used ny inages as a panel, but I like the idea of a composite. |

I was worried about adding too much information, so thank you for asking - here goes.......
Technical :
I was using a Hitachi 161E which is a bridging camera with a x21 zoom lens. The exposure time was 1/36th of a second at ISO 200. BG was talking along with other celeb's such as British comedian Al Murray and Eddy Izzard at a rally in Trafalgar Square in London with a view to stopping Scotland from voting independence from the rest of the UK. I did take quite a few images that day (which was a typical September afternoon with grey skies), but this took three attempts which is all I could get because BG does not keep his face still enough for more chances. You really did please me with your last comment about doing very well to get that close to the subject's face. Sometimes getting somewhere early enough and being both polite and a little cheek helps. I have attached another image from the event which features Eddy Izzard and I cannot remember the girl's name. This one shows Eddy with an expression which looks as if he is wondering what BG is talking about |

I see what Stephen means about the left hand, but her facial expression draws me in such a way that I do not find it a distraction. |
