19 Aug 19 Comment Beautiful composition! I especially like how the vertical lights in the building above the monorail have a really graphic/computery look to them and move the viewer's eye upward. Then the diagonals in the image at the top of the frame bring the viewer's eye back into the picture and into the motion of the monorail. My only suggestion would be to clone out the white dot/light on the left edge of the image, a little more than halfway up the frame. Very cool shot! Aug 10th
19 Aug 19 Comment Very nice image! My only suggestion would be to experiment with bringing down the saturation a bit in the field part of the shot. It may be perfect the way it is, but it seems a wee bit intense. That's just something to give a try to, not something that needs to be "fixed." Aug 10th
19 Aug 19 Comment I agree with others' comments. In addition to those, I think the reflection of the clouds in the right edge of the shoreline is beautiful! And I love how the evergreen stands out so crisply against the setting sun. Beautiful shot! Aug 10th
19 Aug 19 Comment Lovely image! It evokes a feeling of serenity--nicely captured. The focus from foreground to infinity is sharp. Like Marcela, I would crop the edges of whitish rock along the bottom edge of the photo. Aug 10th
19 Aug 19 Comment Beautiful image of Rocky! I especially like the backlighting of the crown at the top of his head, and the red things that hang down below his beak (no idea what those are called!). The lighting on his body shows him off very well. I agree that maybe lightening his face a bit would help make it a focal point. Aug 10th
19 Aug 19 Comment I like the contrast of the highlights in the pickets against the dark sky. I agree with others that maybe cropping would result in preferable compositions--you might experiment with cropping to keep the left 3/4 of the image, cropping to keep the right 2/3 of the image, and experimenting with cropping the sky/foreground a bit for each of those. Nice find! Makes me wish I were there for an evening clambake! Aug 10th
19 Aug 19 Reply Thanks, Harriet! Aug 10th
19 Aug 19 Reply Thanks, Marcela! I'll give your suggestions a try. I'm beginning to like the color version better myself, as well. Aug 10th
19 Aug 19 Comment Hmmm... Now that I see this again online, I think the color version works better. I've attached a cropped version of the image in color. Any thoughts on which image works best here? Aug 2nd
