Hi Norm,
Thanks for the suggestions! I thought I was "replying all" when I replied earlier, but apparently I was replying only to John's post. If you'd like to see my updated image, it's in the thread above...
Thanks again,

Hi Everyone, thanks for the comments! I did get a chance to try this again, outside this time. Outside was more challenging due to the lighting (and because it was warm enough to make the chocolate a bit soft!)--but gave me room for more distance between my camera and the subject, so I could get the bunnies in better focus. I'm fine with the bokeh being slightly blurred... This was mostly to experiment with and I learned quite a bit doing it :-) |

Thanks, Stan! Yes, I did shoot it in Raw, so I can check the lighting on the bunny. I think there was room to play with there. A difficulty I had was that I was set up indoors, and the room just wasn't large enough to get the distance I wanted in order for the focus to be crisp. It looks like the weather will be nice this weekend, so I'll try it again outdoors where I'll have more room. I'll have to buy another bunny, though--the one in the picture has already sacrificed itself to the household chocolate cravings. |

I really like the "window through a window" composition within the circular frame of the foreground arch. And I admire your courage to get the shot from a precarious spot! You're right about time of day making a difference--this could work really well as a night shot! Although perhaps a bit more tricky to set up the camera there in the dark ;-) |

The golden glow of the buildings and the pavement has a very regal/magical feel to it--it looks like a place that would be fun to visit! The details and the lighting are wonderful--my only question would be whether the sky above the buildings at the right would be enhanced with less darkening and a bit more detail showing through? The buildings appear a bit two-dimensional--but I like the contrast of the gold against the black, so I'm uncertain if any change would be an improvement. |

One of my favorite birds! I especially like how the downward sweep of the feathers in the front of the bird complement the spikey brush around the bird. And the bird is tack-sharp--beautiful! |

At first I thought this was a larger statue! Very nice. I love the feeling of motion in the bird, and the crisp sharpness of the bird against the blurred background. |
