I'll just agree with everyone else about how lovely the shot is and removing the green thing. Love the expressions on the couple's faces! |

I had a lot of fun trying to photograph pelicans lounging on the piers on the Gulf Coast in Texas.
I like your image just fine. Did you try going monochromatic with it? |

I agree with Tom and Michele on the tonality and composition. the crop does not bother me.
I thought about cropping out the partial tree on the bottom but that would leave most of the bottom very dark, so I think the way you handled it is better.
I also like the way you used contrast to lead the eye to the tree. |

I'm sorry for your loss. Losing a parent is particularly hard no matter what age you are. I think your trip to the mountain and these photos are a beautiful and loving tribute to your father.
I agree with everyone else about the buildings showing up better in the color version. However, in your description you speak about the peace of being alone there and it seems to me that the monochrome version portrays that feeling better precisely becasue the structures are not as noticeable.
Like the other commenters, I don't have any suggestions for making the image stronger. |

I'll just agree with everyone else and add that I find the lighting quite nice as well. |

My husband totally agrees about the tripod, so I guess I'll have to try to take it out.
Thanks for the comments! |
