I think it's a town with two main roads that cross, but can't swear to it. The lights look extremely bright to me for a town.Thank you for your comments! |

This is a nicely composed photo with the valley acting as a leading line and the people providing a sense of scale as well as adding depth. The shadows and intensity of the colors in the mountains add to the sense of depth.
The only suggestion I can make is to remove the orangish object in the light green to the left of the river. |

This is a very sweet image with natural color tones. I would be tempted to clean up the foreground a bit, particularly the dark patch of grass on the right. |

The thermal river makes a nice leading line and the s-curve makes it more attractive. I also feel like the river balances out the higher mountain on the right. The blue of the basin reflects the blue of the sky and is complementary to the gold in the foreground, creating a nice color palette.
You might try cropping in the left side of the image to the edge of the river and see how you like that. |

There are so many symetrical elements in this photograph - the arches, the balconies, and the overall shape of the gate. I appreciate the Clock Tower and the left side of the building being just a little asymetrical. (The Tower is not quite centered and the left side of the building stretches just a bit further than the right.) I also think you did a wonderful job processing the image, bringing out the detail and toning down the light above the gate. |

I agree with Mike. The soft background gives the image a sense of depth and helps the sharp subject stand out. |
