I'll second what Paul said. I'm undecided on cropping the top. To me, the top makes the image appear a little less cluttered. However, there are spectral highlights and brackish water up there that are not so nice.
Whichever way you decide to go, it's a lovely human interest shot. |

I was going to crop more of the bottom and my artist husband convinced me to keep it. I'll go back to where my instincts said to go. Thanks for the comment! |

I like everything about this image and have no suggestions to make. Gave the time lapse a thumbs up too. |

I agree that it all fits together nicely. I really like the composition, the colors, and the simplicity. I love the patterns in the screen door and would be sorely tempted to create an abstract out of just that section.
This image makes me even more anxious to spend some time in Texas in a couple of months! Good job |

How could you not be attracted to all that color? It seems to me the stones are also different from those you typically find because the painting is so abstract. All that amounts to a fair amount of impact for the image.
Technically, I'm not seeing any flaws. I like the way the focus drops off from the post and the composition.
I have only two fairly minor suggestions to make. The first is to add more space at the bottom of the frame to keep from cutting off that bottom rock. The second is to reduce the highlights on the right of the bottom rock, which - to my eyes - appears to be right at the edge of being blown out. (Although I have a sensitivity to bright light, so that may just be me.) |
