That solution makes life a whole lot easier! I will have to do some more clean up but it's comparatively easy. Thanks, Mike. |

I don't know if I've forgotten how big this place is or if it's just because I never saw it from this angle.
It's a very nice image. The focus is sharp, the lines are sharp, and the colors are good. I find the pile of dirt in the lower right, the balcony without a building on the left, and the fence on the far right with the pallets in front of it slightly distracting. You might try cropping or cloning those out to see if makes the image stronger. |

I think your weather is much like ours, so I can definitely empathize with the blue sky remark. I'm going out tonight as it's the first clear night we've had in months.
That aside... Because it's such a clear and simple image, there's lots of opportunity here to play with it without going monochrome. You could uses masks to bring out the textures and emphasize the people or the tree; you could replace the sky or add a little Gaussian blur; or you could play with the new landscape neural filters in Photoshop. That's just a few options off the top of my head.
Of course, it's also fine to keep it as it is - a simple, well-composed image of an iconic location with people to give it scale. |

I don't mind that there is no strong focal point because this image is all about texture and the way the golden light brings out the texture. I like the bands of color and layers of light and shadow. The colors also work well together. My imagination runs wild with this one and I see a shadow in the upper left that looks like a flower with a rabbit nearby and a stylized bird near the right edge. |

I really like this image. The shape and color of the trees and their reflections are pleasing to my eyes. For me, you've hit just the right amount of color to accent the trees and show the context of the location.
I'll agree with Nigel on trying to crop just a little on the left to pull the trees slightly off-center, but I would hate to lose any of the right because it adds that little pop of color.

Well done! I couldn't get past the white boards to worry about the guy on the tv (the chap in the window). Now that you've shown it can be done, I've got to try again. |
