The final image is a blended image created from 6 frames. This is one of those original frames and, I think, the source of the bright spot. I may go back to the beginning and omit this one. |

The sky has been cropped and both radial filters and a brush have been used to reduce the bright spot. A linear filter to reduce the exposure very slightly was also added.
I want to thank all of you for your comments - they always result in stronger images. |

I agree with Nigel and Mike on cropping out the sky. I would also crop up about 5% to remove the bit of sand on top of the rock in the bottom left corner and the two partial rocks on the right. You also might consider slightly darkening the highlights in the water at the bottom of the image.
Nice job under difficult circumstances. |

I love lighthouses! You might try reducing the highlights and clarity in the sky and increasing the texture and highlights on the lighthouse itself. Very slightly increasing the magenta in the clouds also might help make the lighthouse stand out more.
Nicely done. |

I would title this image something "winter is coming" or "here comes the snow". The contrast between the bright colors in the trees and the white-out at the top of the image is quite clear and the sheep grazing the frozen grass helps support that theme. Two things I would try if it were my image: (1) saturate the greens in the conifers so the hillside looks less black-and-white and (2) darken the bottom edge slightly to force the viewer's eyes up. |

Good job on the work you did. I agree with Nigel on the crop. You might try content-aware scale on the red cloth to make it stand out more.
A couple of really minor distractions to consider cloning out - there is what appears to be sensor dust near the upper right corner and the dark stick protruding from the lighter sand.
This makes a nice minimalist seascape. |
