To me, this is an image that you could just sit and stare at for a while. The simple shapes and textures and the blue of the ocean are all calming while the sunset colors are exciting and kind of leap out at you. I don't know that it would work without the little bit of blur along the horizon. |

I agree with you and Mike about the expanse and the leading line. It would be easy to think that this is a composite of mountains and desert because of the contrast between the two landscapes, but I know it isn't. My only suggestion is to slightly darken the two lighter lines running off the road to the left. |

I wouldn't have know it was a composite if you hadn't said it, so good job there! I like the curves and the feeling of distance they lend the image. I also think the colors add to the feeling of solitude and tough conditions.
Two things nag at me - the angle of the horizon and the bottom post that draws me out of the image. |
