71 Apr 20 Comment I prefer the composition of the image you posted more than the one with the pink sky and I agree that the colors in the rocks need to be adjusted slightly to harmonize with the pink sky. Having said that, I love the textures more than the sky. Nice job and an image that you can take in different directions. Apr 27th
71 Apr 20 Comment I've been there when the puddle was just mud. And I was in that area a week after you took this. (In fact, it was the last time before this past Thursday that I left our property.)

Nice shot. I agree that you reduced the highlights too far. If you don't have another shot for an HDR, you might try adding color and reducing the exposure of the blown-out area.

Even with the blown out sun, I like your image better than the ones I'v captured there.

71 Apr 20 Comment I love this composition and the way light is used to draw the eye. It looks like there is a strong light (like the headlights of a truck) coming in from the bottom right. You might try lightening the tree casting the shadow just a smidge to better direct the light along those lines. I'd say all that time doing the light painting was well worth it. Apr 27th
