We were camping at Elwha and left about 4:00 in the morning to get there for sunrise. (I have an exceptionally supportive husband to do that!)
According to LR the mountaintops are not blown out - it's just that they are the brightest part of the image. |

I agree with the comments about the depth of field and composition. I also love the layers and gradations of color. Beautiful image! |

I can hardly pull my eyes away from the clouds to see the rest of the scene. They are gorgeous (I'm a sucker for dramatic clouds) and totally steal the show! Mike's edit is nice too, so it's all a matter of taste. |

This is a lovely bird beautifully captured. I didn't notice any focusing issues and instead noticed how much detail (like how very sharp those talons are!) you captured.
As for not being a landscape shot - one could consider this an "intimate landscape" don't you think? |

Arches NP is on the bucket list, but I haven't made it there yet, which gives me a slightly different perspective on the image. This photo makes me want to move Arches up on the list because it looks amazing. I like Mike's crop too.
Congratulations on capturing a rare image of a very-photographed location. |

This is a lovely garden image. I keep wondering what it would like just one step to the left. (Not a criticism of the photo - just my wandering little mind.)

I agree with everyone else - this is a great shot that perfectly shows the scale of the lava tube. A panorama may be nice but it also may diminish the importance of the lava tube. The only way to find out is to try it.
I also really like the way you processed the image. Wonderful image!
