Bob I don't think it makes a difference if it's a Mac or a PC. I do see what Frans was referring to. The edges of the tops of the hills do look a bit "Haloed". Maybe put it through a de-noise filter. But it's still so gorgeous. |

I'd love to know where you found such a beautiful leaf ! What kind of tree was it from?
I don't know anything about Helican. What is it? Of course I can Google that - but maybe you could share with the group what it does. Can the same thing be done in Photoshop? |

Well they are dingy -- but I get what you're saying. I'll play around with it in PS and see what I get. Thanks ! |

I like it! The orange looks a little more translucent which gives it a little bit more depth and yeah I just really like that look. |

Gosh, Peter, the thing that confuses me is where does the picture end and the background begin? What is this?
I wish you would have given us more information. Without that, I don't know what to say. |

Well this is quite lovely and very calming to look at. I love the soft colors and the composition -- showing how the water moves around the rocks to find its way to shore. I think your shutter speed was perfect ! I wish I knew how to use a radial filter in PS - Anyway, this is so nice, Meredith. Yummy! |

Frans this is stunning. What a lovely composite, perfect.
I haven't heard of FIAP -- what is it? I love how you made her scarf translucent so you can see the buildings behind it.
If I were to change one tiny thing, I would darken or remove the top of the spire on the left above her scarf. Darkening it would be sufficient.
I LOVE this picture. Thank you for sharing ! |

Lovely, lovely. I love orange, my fav. color ! This is really beautiful and I do like the bridge . Can you lighten up the water in the foreground? I think it would enhance the picture by showing it -- I did a little of that in PS. Hope it's OK with you, I love to play with some of the images.
Really beautiful, I would love to visit Scandinavia.
Thank you ! |

This is sooooo beautiful. I love the colors, textures, details, wish I could take this picture. It's really gorgeous. I do agree that I would have flipped it horizontally, see how it looks here.
I wish you could teach us image stacking. I'm taking a class on it in a few months.
Great job! |

Hi, Mark, Another great shot from Longwood. The lighting on the trees is lovely and makes me long for the cold winters of PA. I do think the blue ornament detracts from the overall image -- I would have either included more ornaments, or even better yet I might have moved to a spot where I could have gotten the whole tree (the one in background) with its reflection in the water. I think you could crop down from the top a bit.
But it is quite pretty and I envy your being so nearby.

HI Bob,
One of the rules of Nature images is that they not be altered - for example, can't take the head of one bird and put it onto another bird in a different image. Can't remove objects.
So the thing with these swans is that that's the way they are -- their bottom feathers are brown, that's the way they look in real life. Maybe the mud in the waters also affects them. The water isn't very deep. So for me to alter them in that way is "against the rules". Yes, they would be prettier with a lighter belly, but that's nature. Thanks for your ideas, much appreciated. |
