10 Jul 25 Reply Thanks Peter. Of course beauty is always in the eye of the beholder. I will have to think the crop over. I'm not sure. Jul 16th
10 Jul 25 Reply Hi Meredith,
I cropped and this is what I did - do you think I cropped enough? I didn't want it to be a vertical shot but maybe that's what I should have considered. Thank you for your ideas.

10 Jul 25 Comment Hi Doug,
Wow, I really like this !! Great exposure and composition, and I love the textures of the petals. I think you picked a good subject !
The only suggestion I could make is to crop up further from the bottom because the leaf is leaving you either wanting less or more of it. Other than that, great shot !
I'd love to know if you picked this and used a black matte board for the background, or - ??

10 Jul 25 Reply So you said that the sky was computer generated or yeah Sky replacement. Isn't that ai? Jul 13th
10 Jul 25 Comment I'm glad you didn't find this creature out in the wilds of Africa; I hear they can be quite dangerous.
I love the closeup ! He's looking right at you - I wonder what he's thinking. I love how you can see the texture of the skin - and the hairs on his ears. This is really a nice shot !
The only change I might make is lowering the highlights on him - maybe just on his face.
Great shot, Meredith !

10 Jul 25 Comment It's a very pretty sunset. Are those ponds or streams that meander around? I see some water on the right but would like to see more of it or none at all. It's really cropped in a strange way.
Your buildings are sliding downhill so I would straighten your horizon in Photoshop or other program. I would clone out the building or structure at the bottom because we don't know what it is and it's distracting from what you want us to look at.
I have a number of friends who have been there and your image makes it look quite enticing. Thank you for sharing !

10 Jul 25 Comment This is so lovely and peaceful looking. I love it. I wouldn't change a thing ! Great exposure, motion of the water, all is just so nice !
Could you explain something? You said you shot it two stops under the meter reading. Was that done using the Exposure Compensation button, or did you simply underexpose? I always like to hear peoples' ideas.
Thank you !

10 Jul 25 Comment I think this is a really cool image, Pete ! Orange is my favorite color and the way in which you took this picture really gave it an interesting perspective. It looks like a snowy area with a sky that had something explode in it - or a lot of smoke which created the orange sky (this happens right here, in California!).
In any case, I really like it.
I would straighten out your horizon line. That's the only thing I would do, because the gazebo looks to leaning right.
