Yes, sometimes I go up to 200% or more and use a 50% hard brush to take off the texture. It helps.
then sometimes after I flatten the image I use the clone tool to get the background cleaned up.
Not easy, is it, Diana, being a photographic artist ???? |

Well, that's why I'm asking. Does the window distract from the girl? I'm not sure. I guess I'll just have to make up my own mind. Thank you. |

I played around with it, too, Rich. I changed the sky, lightened the foliage in front, darkened the trees on right and lightened the shadows on left. Then cropped.
There are so many things to do with this picture, fun !! |

Thank you. I don't know how to sharpen her eyes, probably can't. She actually works with her now husband (the other person) at a local photograph/camera business, and is so nice ! |

Very cool !!! I love this. It looks like a flower within a flower. I love the background. I would get rid of the slightly lighter color around the bottom and right side of the background. Nice !! |

Dry ice, what a great idea. I wouldn't even know where to buy any. I love this image, very cool idea, and your exposure and all are really great.
The only distraction for me is your background, where the dark blue meets the lighter blue. I think it would have been better to have it all be the darker color. Other than that, I love this image ! |

It's a beautiful flower, isn't it? Lovely.
I do notice that around the edges of the petals, there's a white halo. I would try to correct that. Maybe you erased some of the texture?
I love how in focus the ends of the things in the middle (stamens??? I never can remember) are. |

What a beautiful reflection on such a lovely lake ! I'd love to go there.
Can you crop out some of the blue sky at top? It's a boring sky, and doesn't add much to the picture. I think if you crop at top, it will make the reflection and the flowering bush in front more noticeable.
Other than that, very nice ! |

Hi, Meredith,
I love pictures like this -- our history ! So fun and interesting.
I see that you used a Vintage profile. For me, I get the idea of it, but it leaves me wanting more in the way of texture, contrast, etc. But that's me. I played around with it myself and liked what I got. But I think for Vintage I might have used more of a sepia tone. This one just seems a bit too flat for me. I would tone down the brightness of the container right under the box that says "Lane". There are so many things you could do with this image, I'd play around with it some more. But as I said, that's just me. |
