Diana, I wonder what it would look like if you applied a texture? leave the bird and the branch but make the background less distracting. Might be worth a try.
BTW I went to a Kathleen Clemons presentation on zoom for the Lehigh Valley Photography Club. It was LIVE. Really good. I joined their club - $30 a year for seniors. You might like to check it out ! They have all sorts of things going on, presentations, critiques, small interest groups. They are in Pennsylvania. But much is on Zoom. I can send you the link to Kathleen's presentation if you think you'd like it.

You are all correct- the face of the goose blends in too much with his wing behind. I tried to fix it but - just doesn't work. What a bummer. Thanks for your ideas !!

I didn't think it needed saturation. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, right ?

Interesting perspective !! I do think the removal of the ceiling dome would make it a stronger image, as my eye keeps going there and it isn't needed. I agree with Meredith's comments, removing the background on the left behind the head would be great. I wonder how it would look as a black and white? So many things to do with it.
Great exposure, great composition. Difficult with so much there in the room. The Vatican is fascinating, isn't it ? |

Oh, I just think this is lovely . Five images stitched together, I didn't even know you could do that. It's just beautiful. I wouldn't change a thing. I wish I had taken that picture (those pictures) !

Very pretty, Diana. I wish there were a little more contrast in the image, as it appears a bit bland. I played around with it and increased contrast and a little saturation and liked it better. Just a little change and I think I would like this better. But your exposure is great, and the bird is so pretty,
and you got some catch light in his eye. Nicely done ! |

Rich, I wish you would get more into Lightroom and learn how to straighten lines on buildings. The right side of the building is curved and leaning to the left. You could remove the car from the image on the left, it's not needed.
Very cute building, I'd love to go there !! |

I also prefer the cropped version; I don't think you need as much on the bottom that was in the original.
You really got the lines of the lily in a beautiful way. Very well done; F 29 - wow. Good job. |

Nice leading lines, and this definitely captures the spirit of the season. I do think the sky is great and I like the people walking into the tunnel. Nicely done ! |

Well, I could try to clone out the front goose/duck (not sure).
I'd have to use generative fill in PS. Maybe I'll give it a try.
I sure wish those lovely creatures would pose for us to make it easier to capture them !!
thanks, Meredith! |
