I was able to do that in Photoshop. You can adjust the height of the picture and put your thingy in the corner and straighten out the picture - the cross will stay in place. Do you have Photoshop? |

Meredith: I just had to play with this. It needs more work in the shadows.
What do you think?
Just for fun.. |

Thank you, Peter. In my Nature division we are not allowed to remove stuff -- but I think you're right, and I'll do that - remove the lines on the left.
Usually we have more water down where the cranes are but this year the rain hasn't been much yet -- I'll have to go back after Christmas !! |

Hi Peter, I also would crop a bit off the left, and maybe even some of the top so the roof lines aren't so uneven.
But it is lovely, and if you don't do a thing to it, that's fine also. The sun is very bright; I'd love to see this at sunset or sunrise and see what happens to the colors, which are magnificent ! |

Well, it's an interesting subject, I would love to photograph these.
The main thing I'm not crazy about is I'm waiting for the balls to start rolling downhill. LOL. I would have preferred seeing them from a different vantage point, maybe in a straighter line, from behind one, and seeing the rest lined up behind -- don't know if that makes sense. Hard to describe what I mean. I would take out the yellow leaf ! Keep it more abstract. I love the textures and your exposure is great. I'd love to see some of the other pictures you took of them ! |

Very pretty, Diana, I like it a lot. It does show up quite bright on my computer, and my monitor is a bit on the darker side, so I might suggest bringing down the exposure a bit.
I like the colors, focus, etc.
Well done !

Very pretty; I like the soft focus. Not sure what a Westcott soft box is; I'll have to google that. I do like the black background. Yes, I like this ! |

I find the angle of the grassy area in front to be distracting, so I think in the future try to be sure your "horizon" in front is straight. This picture seems really bright to me, and very contrasty (is that a word?). Definitely an impressive building. |

It's funny because the judges in my camera club would all say, if I cropped on the right, that I need to leave room for where the Cranes are looking, which is to the right.
But I get your point. The line on the right is mud, but I could see it might be a distraction to some viewers.
Thank you for your suggestions.
