I'll experiment with it, but I entered it in a club competition and didn't get the full 12 points. Not sure why but I can enter it again next time. Thanks for you ideas. |

Thanks, Rich. I was just wondering if I should have cropped it more. But I think I'll leave it as is. |

Wow, a lot of work put into this image. I think the colors are lovely. I sort of wish the edges of petals weren't so bright, but that's being really picky. It's really just a wonderful shot and your lighting was so nice.
OK, dumb question. You shot each flower separately? Then put them together in Photoshop? Please do let me know.
If yes, that was really well done ! |

Really pretty image of the dahlia, Diana ! I love the colors of the flower and what you did with the background. The little petals around the center of the image add a lot of interest to the flower. Very nice !!! |

I LOVE this image. I love the textures, shapes, composition, every thing about it. Where was this museum? I'd love to go there. Great job, Carrie !! |

I like Carrie's comment - I'm wondering what drew you to that scene, and I do think the shapes are all so similar. I would have cropped from top and bottom to see what it might look like if it were a panorama, or crop it really close, as Carrie suggested. The flagpole is almost in the middle of the picture, which I think takes away from the image. Might have been more interesting at a later time of day when the whites weren't so bright, but I know when you're traveling you don't always have the freedom to come back. Interesting town ! |

I know that in my camera club, this would not do well as a Landscape image. But my camera club can be very picky and fickle. I think the de-haze did work well ! After you de-hazed it and did other things to the image, are the colors natural looking? It's hard to tell, in comparing the original with the edited image. It does have an abstract feel to it, as you were so far away from land. Is that a river, or a road? Probably a river, hard (for me) to tell. It is definitely interesting looking. I like the textures and levels of detail. |

Mark, I love this image much more than the one you posted last month. It shows how high they were off the water, the background, more action, etc. I just really like this one !
I like where the main character is, in front, and I keep looking back at him after scanning the rest of the image. Well done ! |
