10 Jul 22 Reply You took it at 5.6, that's a larger aperture which would not put much in focus, only your center focal point. The rest would be soft.
So, did you want the flower to be partly in focus, or a lot in focus? I'm not sure how far you were from the flower, but at distance, with 5.6, you wouldn't have been able to get a lot in focus. With a smaller aperture -- anywhere from F11 to F32 -- you would have more in focus (longer depth of field). So that's what I meant in my comment. Not sure which you were aiming for, lots in focus or only a small amount. I think the petals in front, which are out of focus, are distracting and it would have been better to use a smaller aperture (larger number).

10 Jul 22 Comment Wow, I've seen lots of snow geese but never this many. I don't really know what to say about this image, it is overwhelming with the huge number of geese. I'd like to see a little more of the background, it's hard to tell if it's a mountain or a hill.
I love the orange-pink color of the sky way over on the left and would have liked to see more of that.
Do you see Amish when you are there?

10 Jul 22 Comment I love the textures, colors, all your post-processing is great. The part I don't like is the angle, which I know you had no control over. I've been to Dublin and know how the weather can change on a dime, and you got there when the leaves were the perfect color. Great job with a difficult angle/subject. Jul 12th
10 Jul 22 Comment I think it's very nice. I love the yellow center of the flower - is it a lotus? Or a lily?
The shadows aren't a problem for me at all. I think since you were on a tripod I would have taken some shots at a smaller aperture, maybe F 11 or even higher, to get more of the petals in focus. I don't know if you could get a soft image that works when you're that far from the flower. Nice background.
Well, next time just wade into the water, right? Get up nice and close. Ha ha . Very pretty.

10 Jul 22 Comment Great capture of the rainbow and the winding road.
Nice colors and exposure.
I'd crop off some of the sky above the rainbow, I don't think it adds anything to the image. I would have saturated it just a bit more.
Very nice !

10 Jul 22 Comment I really don't understand how you made these. They are colorful abstracts, for sure, so I hope you had fun creating them. Jul 12th
10 Jul 22 Reply Thanks for your suggestions. The noise reduction is an OK idea. I took the image with a 50mm lens at 1/160 so I believe the focus is fine. Jul 6th
