I know how to use the sliders but I don't understand what the dehaze slider is for. I will go back into Lightroom and see what I can do with this image, and I really appreciate your suggestions !!

It was cloudy that day so I didn't think I needed the diffuser. I guess I should have taken multiple shots with different things in focus and with a diffuser! |

I took a class from Bryan Peterson School of Photography, teacher was Kathleen Clemons. You can also take a class directly from her, just google her name and look for her classes. You have to buy the textures or try to create your own (harder than you think) but her classes are great. |

I do prefer your original, you can see more of the building, down to the ground. The old architecture in France and Italy is so interesting !! |

Good point, thanks for that. I think I was focusing on the water drops. Which I did not put there, it had just rained.
focus, focus, focus. light, light, light. All so important .
Thanks ! |

To me, the boat looks like a decorated cake, with lots of stuff on it, and I find the things floating in the water to be -- well, I just don't know what they are. I do agree that if you could have been closer it might have made a better shot. I'd love to go there.
I think travel shots are so difficult ! I've never mastered them. Lucky you, just to be there. |

I definitely does create a mood, and I like it a lot. I don't care for the leaning in of the building on both sides of the image. It would be fun if you could place a person, maybe a "ghost", in one of the upper windows. |

My first reaction to this image was Wow !! I love the colors of the background and the bud itself is interesting. The light reflecting on the lower right leaf is a bit distracting, and I would have liked to see more "room" above the flower. I do like the softness of the image.
I have no idea what smudge brush or mixer brush are -- if that's Photoshop, then I need to learn more. |

I'm afraid this image doesn't do much for me. Definitely the windows are interesting, but I'd love to see a bit more -- what's below it, on the street level. Also I think I would have added some contrast and a wee bit of saturation. I wonder what would have happened if you had take the image as a horizontal.

I love the colors and textures. I wish the extra leaves were not there, or maybe were more spread out. But I like it.
I'm wondering the same as Rich, what would happen if you just took one image at maybe F 22? Do you really need to put in all that work. I thought focus stacking was used mostly for macro images, but if this is fun for you, great. |

I like this one !! Looks like someone was blowing soap bubbles in the stream. Very cool. I like the rock placement on the right. |
