Yes, I like it better with the top petal cropped off. |

HI Diana, I don't know how to do that in Lightroom !
I must google it on youtube, I guess.
BTW I ordered a LensBaby Soft Focus II, it arrived -broken !
So they are sending me another one. :( |

Well, maybe. I'm not sure I know how to do that. I'll work on it. |

I used a tri-fold white foam board for the background and I don't know why it looks gradated in this image. I tried to lighten it up but I didn't want to lose the white edges of the petals. So, I don't know what to do about the background.
Any suggestions appreciated, I do agree that it looks odd. |

I think with that length of lens, if you were hand-holding, you could have even moved your camera a bit, causing some lack of focus. To me, the image looks "soft". I would try re-shooting at maybe F 8 with a tripod and see if you get a different shot.
I just ran it through Topaz Sharpen AI, as Robert suggested, and it made a big difference. Also added a little contrast.

I actually wish you had left the person in the picture - looking at the building with the orange shirt - gives me something more to look at. I do like the monochrome image !
Well, I had to play with it. I took your first image with the woman, burned in some of the brightness of the building, cropped a bit, and added a fake sky. So many things you could do with this image. But the building by itself seems a bit stark for me -- anyway, just for fun.

I'd love to know if this was totally ice or if some of it was not frozen. If some of it was not frozen, I would have pushed that main leaf just slightly under the water so it would not be so bright. Or maybe you could burn it in ? I love the textures and the colors -- very pretty and definitely tells me it was cold !!
Here's what I had in mind about the brightness of the main leaf. I put on a layer mask and also burned it in a bit. You may not like it ! |

Hi, Rich, I wonder if you were using a tripod? I'm not sure if the image is sharp or not. You don't mention your shutter speed, it would have had to be pretty fast unless you had it on a tripod with a cable release.
Well, it's a lovely view, isn't it?
Thanks for sharing. |

I love the textures and yes I like the blue at the bottom. But if you hadn't told me what it was, I wouldn't have a clue. I'd love to know what surrounded the slime -- maybe would like to see a bit of the creek? Pretty colors, I like the blue more than the brown. |

Mark, I love the brilliant colors, especially the oranges and teals which I think are complimentary colors. I've used Filter Forge but not as effectively as you did. I love the wave splashing up on the rocks. The whole image is unusual with the texture added by the filter; I like it ! |

Hi Diana, I think it's really pretty except for the back petal which seems to stick up and throws off the symmetry of the flower. Other than that, it's great. I love seeing the veins/lines in the petal on the left. Great exposure and color !! |
