I really like this image, and I think you could have cropped on sides a bit, but maybe also burn in the bottom where the water is so bright -- you want the viewer's eye to go to the reflection in the sphere, not to the water at the bottom, which is quite bright. Keep doing these images !! |

Ooh, I agree with David, the Landscape shot is much better. But if you stick with the vertical, I would remove a lot of the sky and let the eye go more to the mountains and the reflection. I'd add some contrast, it looks a bit dull to me. But it's otherwise quite beautiful, wish I were there ! |

I think more of it should be in focus than just that tip. I think if you had cropped some of the image, and made that tip the focus of the image, it might have been Ok but you've got some edges of the petals in focus, some out; the tip in focus but the rest of that -- stamen?- is not in focus, and I find it distracting.
The colors are wonderful. I would try using a really small aperture (F-10 to 22) and see what you get, or even 5.6 would work. |
