Thanks, Rich. I did create another version with the petals a bit lighter, but I did it after posting this one. Good eye ! |

OK, well I chose a texture that I like of a piece of fabric, but it wasn't quite the right color, so I played around with the hue until I thought it looked similar to the flower. Then I layered in Photoshop, put it on top of the flower, then created a layer mask and brushed away the color so the flower showed through, and the stem also.
I merged the layers, then cropped with "content aware" so I could add more of the background to the right side. That put the flower in a different place. I actually tried three different backgrounds but I liked this one best. |

Well, nothing you can say about this image, except "OOOH, sweet!". I love this capture. I've never seen them close up like that, lucky you. Great shot ! |

OK, well I did it in Photoshop and the buildings stood straight, so I guess you were trying to do it "in camera" ?
I think it looks really nice as a pano, too bad you weren't able to do that. It's a beautiful city !!

I like the picture quite a lot, but I would crop top and bottom and make it more like a panorama. You don't need all the water in front and all the black sky (of course, my idea, you may disagree). Here's what I did to it. |

Diana,
I think it's a lovely flower and you got the exposure and focus spot on.
On the other hand, I see it off-center and the background color is just distracting. I played around with backgrounds and here's what I did. See what you think. |

I agree with the above comments, I love the image but it looks like it lacks sharpness.
If you have Photoshop, you might go into Filters, Sharpen, then Unsharp Mask and play around with the sliders. Or try Topaz Sharpen AI. |

I like the flower in her hair !! I think this is a lovely image, and what makes it for me is her finger pointing upward! It's just beautiful. I love how you blurred the background. |

Thank you . I am pretty sure they're not camellias, they grow on a shrub that's much smaller. Everything here is starting to dry up if it's wild, this one was planted at a retirement home and I got royally chewed out for stepping on to their property -- and NO one was outside when I picked them. Bad idea, I guess. Everyone is scared.. |
