Just for everyone's info, I was taking a class on studio lighting last semester and did a whole study on "low key portrait lighting". I did the lighting this way on purpose, for dramatic effect. I did it in the living room, in total darkness, with a strobe light behind and to his right (our left). I didn't want light anywhere else.
I know it's not to everyone's taste. That's OK, and I do appreciate your comments.
Merry Christmas ! |

On the right-side bird, some of the neck is missing. I would have put in a different bird or a different image of the same bird. I want to see more of their bodies ! But they are lovely and I like the idea of what you did. |

The globe is really pretty but I do find all the things in the background to be distracting. Maybe do a layer mask and darken the background. |

I think this is a really pretty macro shot, I love that flower.Or whatever it is. I would have cropped some of the side off the left and gotten in tighter to the flower.
Very pretty. |

To me it's a very "busy" image, and I keep looking at the water as opposed to the city. I might have tried to focus on a smaller part of the city. The lights are lovely and the over look of the image is very pretty but for me it just seems like a lot to take in. |

To me, the water looks very reflected and bright; I would have used a polarizer to soften it and remove the reflective quality it has. As a landscape it does look moody and honestly, the most interesting thing in the image is the clouds. I think I might have taken the picture from a different location or viewpoint. The clouds are very pretty, though. |
