It needs something Guy but I'm not sure what. Last year when I started doing this event, I had thousands of pictures and I wanted to do such a good job for the charity and I tried to really take my time with the photos during processing because I wanted to show them how much I cared about my job. Still I was doing post-processing on the photos even after a week so I had to come to a decision that I could only do light post-processing and maybe spend 5 or 10 minutes on really special ones that I found. |

Very dramatic shot Bill! The deep dark tones are very visually appealing and the shadows across the water are done quite well! I like the starburst effects of the lights and the sky is presented with no distractions except for a slight pleasing gradient. The buildings are very stark and the detail is done quite well also.
Minor thing that I noticed is the lettering on the Tampa Convention Center sign which seems a bit over-sharpened perhaps.
Interesting image. Thanks for presenting it to us. I'd be interested in your camera settings that you used as well. |

Really amazing job Ian! I really think you have a flair for aircraft photography! I love the leading line from the front of the photo leading the viewer's eyes right to the aircraft! Nice work on the texture of the runway! The nice light blue sky and the green of grass really work well together and these colors are picked up by the spin of the propellers. The blue of props gets accentuated by the sky and the yellow gets picked up by the grass a bit more. The lights at the edge of the wing tips with the little starburst effect are done perfectly as well! Wonderful image! |

This is a very nice composition with the varying patterns. I'm not sure what that purple stuff is on the ground but it looks interesting. The shadows on the bars in the back really make the picture for me. When I first started looking at this picture at the beginning of the month, I wondered about the little sliver of the bar on the right so I agree with the judge. |

Thanks for the clean-up Isaac! I had a hunch that I should have cleaned the image up before submitting it to you guys but I decided instead to show you what I submitted to the event organizers. Thanks for your time in fixing up the image. I ended up taking over 2000 photos at this event in the end. |

Now I have to go and look up this really magnificent piece of architecture. It's a great find Guy! I like all the leading lines of the photo and you even captured the reflection of the building so congratulations! Really nice work on the post-processing and fixing the different parts of the image that needed fixing.Nice clarity on the photo as well.
Minor issue would be the light glare on the image surface that could be clone stamped out. The room at the back and the front of the structure are quite dark and could use some lightening. I tried running it through an NIK HDR program and came up with a hybrid image which I am attaching.

Really amazing capture Erik! I wouldn't have anything to give you to improve upon this portrait. Really crystal clear image and the composition is organized nicely as Guy stated. The colors on the bird's head really seem to stand out and I love the action that you caught. Thanks for sharing such a compelling image! |

Really nice image Isaac! The black and white treatment you used on this along with the expression on the woman's face really make this an interesting image in my eyes. It is quite haunting and surreal in its presentation. Of course, I also love the texture of the curtain or glass that you can see throughout the picture. |

I'm not from this group. I'm from group 04 but I really enjoy looking at this picture. I really enjoy taking "emotive" photographs and this is a great example of somebody who is just caught in the moment of doing something that they enjoy. The black and white treatment to this photo really makes it stand out well as a portrait. I also like the contrasting textures that was captured in the man's face and beard. Really nice image! |
