Very interesting Alan. at first glance it looked like a pair of old sunglasses trapped under some ferns. I love the detail of the dendrites in the ice. Great capture! |

An interesting image. looking so serene it completely belies the setting of a war torn country. I see Larry's point but maybe the contrast of seeing the image but knowing the location is enough to add interest to the story. Either way it's an interesting shot. |

Nice colors. I think i would be tempted to crop in tightly around the flower but this would eliminate the 'head held high' feature you mentioned Joanne. |

I like the B&W rendition of this image. it seems to add drama. the low angle was a good idea too. the blesk snow scene is nicely captured. |

First this is a nice capture such shots are only available for fleeting moments. I find the image to be a bit cluttered for my taste with all those rocks so if this were my shot i would be inclined to crop it much closer as shown in the attached
