I agree with the comments already made. I wonder what this would look like in black and white? Maybe too powerful a reminder of dark times? |

The second, larger, image is much easier to see. Interesting shot. I might have been tempted, if there is enough resolution, to crop out all crabs but the one in the foreground and a little from the left hand side. But bear in mind I rarely win prizes for my photos! |

I rarely notice the distracting feature that others notice and didn't this time. I was focused on the bark or the tree in the foreground which I liked. Nice texture and sharp. IO agree with Fred on the green saturation. |

I don't know anything about black light photography but the results are appealing and very interesting. Thanks for sharing Tom and please keep us informed as you progress up the learning curve. |

I'll try the crop you suggest. I was trying to keep his eye on an intersection of the one third rule grid but your suggestions may work. Thanks Fred.

Yes you're right about the noise. I have to use high shutter speed to compensate for my inability to hold the camera rock steady at 300mm so this results in high ISO (which I let float).
I think this results in sharper results for me but it is a battle. I have a D800 (36Mp) and this D850 (46Mp) is even harder to get sharp. I also have a 24Mp body so maybe I should use that but then I have to be better at composition in the camera because there will be fewer cropping options.
Tom I don't know the noise reduction software you used but will look into it.
I appreciate the comments from everyone, your suggestions are helpful. Thank you all. |

It seems that the horse has some sort of friendly expression of friendship on its face. I think it's the way the mane falls. Nice photo, I like it and for my taste I don't think I'd change anything. |
