Birds in flight are hard to get right. Getting a well focused image with an interesting background needs skill and luck. Here, the plain white sky doesn't help so I agree with Alan. Better to use a tight drop on the bird. |

Nice capture. I've seen similar coloring on trees and the bright yellow is pleasing to the eye. I think you've captured it well. I understand Alan's point about the brightness on the right but personally I didn't notice it until I read his comment. Either way it's a nice image. |

I like the image a lot. Taken from a great vantage point. Tom's wife's suggestion on lightening the shadows is a good one. I couldn't see the lights in the hills.
I don't know much about the rules for submission beyond what's required for nature. However I think the image is competition worthy somewhere. |
