Hi Judy. Changing to mono has really improved this image. You have positioned the tree well and the fence has created an interesting foreground. The white clouds against the dark sky has been well handled. Can't think of any improvements. Well Done. Cheers Glenn |

Hi Todd. What an outstanding image. Your technical expertise is amazing. You have created a lovely image. The overall tone of the image is pleasing. I particularly like the gradation of dark to light above the mountain in the sky. Some photographers make the night images too light and the feeling of a nice evening is lost. You have handled the foreground well. The composition is great. You have captured a well balanced moody night scene. Excellent shot. Cheers Glenn |

It is frustrating Frans when these lovely scenes appear and you can't stop to capture them. You have done well through the bus window. Your post processing has been successful. The reflections and the autumn colours in the forest are wonderful. You have captured a beautiful peaceful scene under difficult circumstances. I probably would have taken the covered boats out of the foreground. Cheers Glenn |

A stunning image with the Wow factor. The undulating lines created by the hill produce beautiful patterns and when the golden colour is added an outstanding image is captured. The tractor tracks and the farmhouse at the bottom right adds to the story. In my opinion presenting the image as a portrait is a good choice but would try the image as a landscape to see what it looks like as well. I like how the rows of trees breaks up the lovely golden colour. The colour palette is outstanding. Well seen. Congratulations. Cheers Glenn |

Thanks everyone for your input. I do agree that the building being cut off is a little annoying. I think my reason was that leaving the whole building created too much sky on the top right. I'll have another go. Thanks. Cheers Glenn. |

A very emotive, moody image. Your explanation has shed some light on what you are trying to achieve and in my opinion you have done this. The shapes created by the lines of the canoes are very effective. The light shining on the canoes was the first thing to catch my eye and then I started exploring. The closed hut adds to the story and the moodiness. I was in two minds with the tree root but I feel this also adds to the story. I get a feeling of desolation and in my opinion you have achieved what you set out to do. Well seen and captured. Cheers Glenn |
