Hi Kathryn. They are nasty and we kept our distance although they didn't mind us photographing them and we even used a flash which didn't disturb them. Cheers Glenn |

Hi Judy. You are thinking outside the box with this one.Like the yellow sun and it is well placed. You have used the lines to perfection. The shape of the building and the boards leading to the fishermen are well seen. I would have liked the third fisherman to be separate from the pole (picky). Well Done. Cheers Glenn |

Hi Kathryn. I like the composition as it is. Reminds me a lot of something you would see in Northern Australia. The textures in the rocks really catch my eye. The foreground tussocks add interest and the stream leads the eye into the scene. The only suggestion is a small crop of the foreground water which would emphasize the tussocks more. I would have cloned the people. I like how you have left a small slither of sea adding to the story. Cheers Glenn |

Hi Todd. Wonderful lines leading to the water. Conversion to mono is a great move and you have a well seen foreground. Unless the viewer was told there was a fire the haze could have been mist or fog. A lovely image. Well done. Cheers Glenn |

Hi Lamar. You have captured an extremely peaceful scene. In my opinion you have handled the foreground well and the waterway leads the viewer into the image with the sky being the 'hero'. For me the sky is a little too blue. I have desaturated the sky, added some light to the row of trees on the left and placed more emphasis on the clouds. A personal choice. Cheers Glenn |

Hi Pierre. A beautiful landscape. I like how the trees lead my eye to the mountains in the background. The mountains are in the centre of the image but I feel you can get away with that here. The leaves in the foreground are well placed. My eye also follows the stream into the scene. The colours and the composition are well handled. This image gives me a feeling of nature's grandeur.I feel as if would like to walk along the bank to see where the stream leads.A lovely image. Congratulations. Cheers Glenn |

Hi Frans. I like your colour version over the B/W. I have found it difficult to do well with landscape photography in competitions. A landscape has to be really good to do well.Did you enter in Colour or the Travel sections? I have bought a 150 to 600mm lens and am shooting a lot of nature. I am having more success but still like landscapes.Judges can be fickle. My advice is to enter what you like and be persistent. Good Luck . Cheers Glenn |
