Hi Pierre. Another lovely image. I really like the cool colours and the sunlight on the scene. The ice in the foreground and in the river tells the story of a cold. I get the feeling of a cold, crisp morning with the promise of a clear day. The buildings in the background give the scene a sense a place. I must admit I have a problem with wall of rocks. It tends to block me getting into the image. Lamar's crop seems to be the answer. A well seen shot portraying a sense of cold with the light promising an improvement in the day to come. Hi Judy, you certainly visit some interesting places. For me this is a well captured image and you have handled the post processing well.I really like the contrasting colours of the chairs and how they seem to be grouped in two separate lots. The left chairs seem to be for socializing while the chairs on the right seem to be for appreciating the view. The vegetation on the left and the flying birds add impact.I figure this is a sunrise and you have captured some lovely colours. There seems to be layers in this image. The sandy foreground, the chairs and then the birds in the sunrise. A lovely peaceful scene. Well Done. Cheers Glenn |

Hi Kathryn. This for me is a well thought out image. The jumbled lines of the trees create a strong first impression and I like how you have included the green foliage at the bottom which I feel anchors the image and creates a wonderful foreground. The greens give me a feeling of calm. The light through the trees is dull and this adds impact to the image and draws my eye to the jumble of the branches. In my opinion a lovely image. Well Done. Cheers Glenn |

Hi Todd. Your skills amaze me. What a beautiful image. Your focus stacking has worked well with your image sharp from front to back. The foreground creates a wonderful first impression with it's eye catching textures. The sun is well placed and the rays add impact. for me the image is a little over saturated and I took a little red out. This is very subjective and you, I'm sure prefer the image as it is. What do you think? |

Hi Lamar. For a spur of the moment shot you have done very well. These rays are hard to capture at times particularly getting the light right. To my eye the composition is fine but I would have lightened the shadows.I like the texture in the clouds and you have placed the lighthouse perfectly. For me the image is all about the sky and you have made it the main subject. I have attached an image with the shadows brightened. What do you think? Perhaps converting to a monochrome might be worth a try. Cheers Glenn |

Hi Frans. I am very familiar with the QVB. This is an image with impact. My eye went straight to the curved stained glass windows and their beautiful colours. You have placed the windows perfectly. Well seen. My eye followed the handrails into the image and then I was halted at the horizontal rail as if to say, " Hold on, have a look at the windows." You have placed the walkers wonderfully and you have handled the contrast of dark and light to perfection. This is one to be proud of. You have a good eye. This is innate in a photographer and hard to teach. Well Done! Cheers Glenn |
