Thanks Todd for your time and effort. The problem with fog is the loss of contrast but I guess we have to live with this.I like the crop and making the waterfall the foreground but not to sure about the blue background.Realistically in fog we get a few meters of clear foreground and the background is quite misty, depending on the thickness of the fog of course. Thanks for your time. Always open to different viewpoints. Thanks Glenn |

Love this image Todd. I have tried light painting and really enjoy it.Like how you have lit up the rocks evenly and some of the light has spilled over to the fir trees.I will have to try your method of getting even light. The moss at the base of the foreground rock adds interest and the light on the distant mountain is well handled.I like the moon burst and the hint of a couple of stars.Although the rocks take up most of the image I feel you have handled them well.A great image and I will definitely give your technique a go. Thanks Glenn |

Hi Frans. I like the technique you have used. The eye goes to the canoeists and then looks around the image. Love the overhanging branch. Well thought out. A very peaceful scene with the mist hanging in the karsts. I think of your three versions I like you original one as it is a little different although the colour version is good.A nice image. Hi Kathryn, I feel as I am walking among the redwoods and I'm sure that is what you want your viewer to feel. The straight trees and their textures are well presented. The path surrounded by the ferns leading into the forest is well placed. The scene without the path would be nowhere as strong.I thought of placing a walker on the path to add interest but decided against it as I feel it is better as it is. What do you think? Would be interesting to see what a little vertical camera movement would produce.A lovely shot. Cheers Glenn |

I agree Todd, the image could have done with a boost but I didn't want to lose the foggy atmosphere and not over saturate. I've had another go. What do you think? Thanks Glenn |

Nice image Judy. The more I look the more I see.Well presented image with a great stone wall foreground. The textures in the wall are interesting. The tree on the right balances the scene and the white stone crosses add to the story.I love the grass roof, the green door and little windows.I like how the little church is a little off centre. A lovely scene giving the viewer an insight into the people who live there.A wonderful image. Cheers Glenn |

What a vast cold scene. It gives the feeling of desolation and portrays mans adaptation to his environment. There is a contradiction between the desolation and the skyline in the background and I think this is your message Pierre. The colour is great and your figures are well placed. They are the first thing I saw and then I started to explore the image. I also like the foreground and the lines.Emotive image Pierre Well Done. Cheers Glenn |

What a great place to visit.Love the colours and the story the image is portraying.Being able to look through the image to the water in the background adds to the story. I keep asking myself "Where do the canals lead?" The boat in the foreground makes the image as it leads the eye into the canal. I probably agree the white roof on the left is distracting but on the other hand it is part of the story. A well thought out image. Well Done Lamar. Cheers Glenn |
