As I grew up in the country I found this image brought back lots of fond memories. I felt as if I was walking into this lovely rural scene and taking a trip back in time. Love the bare trees, green grass and the sun breaking through. I agree with Lamar that the little brick building is well placed. I thought of a crop below the distracting bright sky but then you would lose the bare trees so perhaps Pierre's suggestion of darkening this area is the best alternative. A very evocative shot. Well Done! Cheers Glenn. |

My kind of shot Judy. Love the colours on the horizon and the soft water. I personally love the water texture. Soft water lends itself to mono as well.I would have moved more to the left to make the pier more prominent.A beautiful image. Cheers Glenn |

I don't know much about Infrared Photography and as this is your first attempt, well done and good on you for having a go. Your composition is good and I like the reflections. The Infrared Images I have seen are mainly white so I have attempted to take the colour out in Photoshop, what do you think? Great attempt at your first go. Stick with it.Cheers Glenn. |

A lovely shot Frans. You have portrayed Santorini beautifully and I guess this was your aim. Like how the buildings fall from the top corner to the bottom corner with the windmill prominent. Your treatment in Lightroom is wonderful with the yellow lights and evening sky. My eye goes to the blue pool but am not distracted as I am more drawn to the lights and the cluster of buildings. Good idea to bracket and select the best exposure. I agree HDR can be a little unnatural sometimes. A great shot. Cheers Glenn. |

Lovely shot Lamar. Beautiful tussocks in the foreground. Great composition with a gorgeous sunrise/sunset. I personally would have toned down the blues without losing the ominous feeling of the approaching storm. See the attached image where I have toned down the blue and lit the tussocks. A personal choice. Cheers Glenn |
