A lovely landscape image.I agree with Lamar that the image needed straightening. I don't think in doing this that the slope into the valley is lost. I like the road leading into the distance with the vehicle adding perspective and interest.The light breaking through the middle of the valley adds to the scene.The textured clouds around the mountain add to the mystery and I keep asking myself, "What do these mountains really look like? What beautiful light! The image was taken at the right time of day.The sky is really nice but the blown section above the mountain is a little distracting but a minor detail.My eye goes straight to the lit up area then I find myself looking around the image from the concrete structure at the bottom to the mountain and then the houses below.The big tree is covering the mountain but I don't see this as a problem.The transition of the brightness at the top to dark at the bottom is perfect.A wonderful image. Love this moody shot.I took one similar in my home town a couple of weeks ago. It had very little contrast and I tried in Photoshop to create some but it didn't work.I resigned myself to the fact that there is little contrast in fog.So I would leave it as it is. A wonderful image with the rocks leading to the building and the lovely ropy foreground. Glenn Gilligan |

This landscape shot was taken at the right time of day. The golden rays bursting into the valley are amazing. Nice foreground. The dark sky adds to the mood of the scene. I would have like the image to be a little sharper. The rays on the mountains on the right are quite nice.I probably would have used a tripod and lengthened the shutter speed, if possible. I really like this landscape image. The depth of field is great. I like the vibrant colours and the lines of pumpkins leading into the distance. Nice foreground which is so important in a landscape image.I find the bush on the left a little distracting and could be removed quite easily. Glenn Gilligan |
