1. The image is of a scene in Muir Woods National Monument.
2. No vignette was added.
3. The image has no intention other than to present the visual effect of the light on the plants? Nor does it have a story. Nevertheless, feel free to imagine one for yourself.:)
Thanks

For me this image does not project the story proposed by the title. I suppose you have to know before hand that the orange element is clouds. Otherwise, without that knowledge it could be a bed of hot coals. |

I like images with lots of areas of interest so I am reluctant to recommend any further cropping. You have several elements of composition in the image the most prominent being the leading lines to the skyline and sunrise/sunset. |

I like the image so I do not have any suggestions. I do not mind that the only detail that remains of the bird are in the wing tip. |

I agree with all the comments made by Joan. When I first saw the image it looked like it had not had any post processing but I could not figure how the proportions could have been corrupted so much. Since you say that the distortion was created by the downsizing process I would consider cropping the original file to emphasize the 2 children in the jeep. Unless your purpose is to document some family activity I would take out the child that is standing and create your story around the 2 in the jeep. |
