Thanks for your comments. For me the sunlight on the two adjacent fields adds to the image and for me the sunlight is the focus and not necessarily any one element like the road. It was shot at 17mm using a 16-35mm lens on a FF body.

I agree with Lamar but I suppose you cannot go back and remake the image with a smaller wave. An alternative might be to dehaze or add some contrast to the island to make it standout more. |

For me the image needs a little more brightness on the left and right. Maybe you did not see the scene that way but when I scan across my screen the castle and its hill start out a little too dark for me and then the brightness diminishes as I look to the right. Additionally, if the little section of grass was a little brighter it would help frame the scene in my view. The version attached may be overdone but hopefully it helps make my point.

Thanks, while I like that bit of the image you are right about it. There is also a bright piece of moss in the upper right that needs to be attenuated. |
