The building on the right does not bother me that much even though some folks might feel better if there was a whole building or no building there. To some degree the snow on the roof of that building adds to the setting. If it were my shot I would take out the two towers on the right side for sure though.
I am hesitant to comment on this because it could just be the laptop I am using while away from my desktop. The steam cloud looks amorphous with little structure dependent on the angle I view my screen. If it is not there I would add some more definition to the folds/layers in the cloud of steam to give a little more texture. |

Thanks to everyone for comments. It seems to be unanimous that it would be better to have the runner somewhere other than in front of the door. I have three other shots with runners in the scene. I chose this one because the runner's body shape was more appealing to me. I have two with this runner positioned other than in front of the door. In one she is between the door and the bike but closer to the door than the bike. In the other she is behind the bike. I really do not care for the latter.

I like the light on the grass and the yellow leaved trees in the background. While it is said that your eye is drawn to the brightest spot in the image my eye seems to be drawn to the the darkest object in this image. I think the image would be improved if some of the shadow detail could be brought back in the large dark bush to the right of the dominate tree. It seemed to help me feel more comfortable with that dark bush by restoring the detail a couple of feet into the shadow on the side facing the camera. Attached is a rough representation of what I am referring to.
