Love the shadow in the curved areas and creases .
They really add dimensions to the subject.
Black is my favorite background to show off specimens too .
I had been doing some light painting and portraits and really notice how shadow add to the 3D effect.
The details are wonderful ! ! !

Great idea !
I like the monochrome very much.
( I am also in a monochrome group )
There is wide spectrum of light and dark.
Personally I like to crop tighter but we all have different artistic opinion.

Great clarity at the front.
It is very hard to get deeper depth of field in macro.
I usually like to get insects sideway because that would show more detail when more is in the same plane . Of course, getting the eyes in focus is great. Can we know what the aperture used is please ?

Love the eyes ! ! !
Great expressions and story too.
I am sure that the the baby and mom's back and head are not over-exposed but I read somewhere that it is better to lower exposure of areas so that textures can be seen .
I might also put in an vignette after cropping.
These are just nit picking and I really envy you for having chances to see these wild life easily. |

A very nice street photography with full dynamic range.
Wonderful relaxed atmosphere .
Usually full sun and full shade are not easy to incorporate into the same image but they make a striking image here. |

Great clarity . Love the great depth of field and detail of all the lines and curves. I too like the monochrome version much better than the colored one. |

Love the great detail of the textures and various lighter and darker patches that give this a 3D look.
Blue usually produce darker areas in monochrome but the lighter sky is just right to contrast with the darker earth.
I usually use a (hue/saturation) layer and a ( Gradent Map) layer to adjust the shades of grey..trying to achieve from black to white and in-between.
Interested to know technique what others ( You ) use ? |
