The crop is more pleasing in my opinion as well. One thing very nicely done is the sheet of water over the back of the sea lion as it surfaces. This is an interesting capture. |

It was like that here in Niagara Falls where Black Squirrels started showing up, multiplying and replacing gray squirrels. Then it switched back again where the black squirrel is more rare. They came from Canada I believe. I agree, the low angle is very pleasing. |

Thank you. I was surprised to get that email. I think my image appears just after mid month according the second email. This is a straight-up, handheld shot, no motion trigger. |

Thank you, I appreciate your input. I have a preference in having extra room in my wildlife images. While this one does not show the environment since it is blurred out, because it is backlit and heading into the frame, I like having that extra room. The subject is large in the frame, so it does command its space. |

The legs are not visible when a Dragonfly is flying, similar to a bird. I have over 100 images of them in flight and no legs. The antennae are shown in this image, they are just very small. As for the background, I am tossed on what to do. The image is dark to begin with. It may be too dark overall. I have not decided on this yet. I always look at if it pulls the eye from the subject. In this case, I think the subject is strong enough that the background is not as important. What may be good to do is change it to a color, one more muted in tone to complement the subject. Burning it would just muddy the image. Thank you for you comments. It is good for thought. |

Very nice find and capture where the subject is nicely framed. I do find the image a bit too warm in my opinion. Possibly the image could have more of the framing elements in the image, which would add a bit more of the environment in which you found the owl. |

This image is a nice behavior shot with good motion. I find there is nice contrast of subject and background. I see a blue cast to the shadows on the wings that to me, appears not quite accurate to the scene. |

I believe this a very unique capture and the image has a great expression on the monkey. It is very detailed around the mouth with great catchlight and reflection in the eyes. The hair shows forward motion and adds nice focus on the subject's face. I would suggest toning down the highlights on the top of the head to regain more detail, and eliminate the hotspot at the lower right. |

I find this very sharp, detailed and the Jackal is engaged with the camera. The only issue in my opinion is the shadowing, which seems to have a blue cast. |
